![]() ![]() Lightroom by default saves edit metadata in its catalog, but the "Save Metadata" step writes all those development settings out in a separate file. If you were to take the raw plus the XML sidecar to another computer your edits would persist (whereas if you don't write the metadata to the sidecar and moved the file, your edits would NOT persist). When Lightroom rights out the metadata sidecars, it writes all your development settings to the XML. Gunther even has steps written out here (borrowed from a forum user, I believe) to use AE. My question is, do I even have to export a second sequence ever again if this is the case? Or Is there a special type of format that only works when you export from LRTimelapse to remove deflicker?Īfter Effects just reads the sidecar metadata file that Lightroom and LRTimelapse generate/modify when you execute the "save metadata" step (it writes it out to an XML file with the same name as the photo). ![]() Is this possible to hold all of the metadata and deflickering strictly through the metadata? I didn't have to change anything within After Effects, it just automatically read the metadata from my corrections in Lightroom? The metadata must of transferred over from LRTimelapse/LR workflow. I export my finished sequence and as I'm about to import the new de-flickered sequence into the SAME After Effects project as before, I notice that all of my photo sequences are already exactly how I edited them in Lightroom. So now I restart and process my time-lapse through LRTimelapse instead.Keep in mind I used Camera Raw within After Effects for this. I created a simple time-lapse within After Effects, not LRTimelapse (yet) because I didn't think there was any flicker.Come to find out after I exported the time-lapse, that there was flicker. When in doubt, message the moderator /u/matjoez Check out our sister subreddits When breaking the rules you will get a warning first, then a temporary ban, then a permanent ban.
